Project Update – 2018

1Apologies to all followers of this project/website. I have not been able to undertake any activities for the last couple of months due to health problems.

Whilst on holiday in Spain in November, I suffered a heart attack, was hospitalised and had a couple of stents fitted whilst in Spain. Have just had the all clear from local hospital so am now back in full working action.

Many thanks for all information received so far.

Also, have recently attended the local RAPC Association Branch Meetings which are held in Lancing. Have volunteered to assist with their aim to increase numbers attending the regular meetings.

So if you are living in Sussex or any adjacent counties then please follow links below for details of forthcoming meetings.

1 After a few weeks off over the summer; it’s now time to get back to the project.

First a thank you to the webmasters of the RAPC Association Site for adding the details of this project to the site.

Over this period I have been working on a plan [and designing stuff like databases etc.] to enable this project to proceed and here is the outcome:

  • Make contact with all people who have “come alive” via the RAPC Site /Facebook or by this project various contact points:
  • Collate information received from “responders”, update Website and eventually be able to tell the “history” of R.P.O Brighton through the eyes of those who served there.
  • Set up a Forum to enable ex R.P.O. personnel to make contact with other ex R.P.O. personnel etc.
  • Maybe organise some kind of reunion!!

So here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RPO Brighton Project Update – 02/08/2017

As part of this project, I am attempting to list all who served in RPO Brighton.

I know that this will be a massive task as there must have been hundreds of people who at one time or another have links with RPO Brighton.

Many of you have already sent me details and stories of your times there and in many formats ranging from Facebook enteries to emails, for which I very grateful. However, formulating them into a database is proving to be quite dificult and very time consuming.

So, I am going to ask a big favour:

If you have ever served at RPO Brighton and would be willing to share details of your time there; can you click on the link below and complete the form?

As this information is collated, I will be making the information available by clicking on the RPO Page of this website which will contain links to password protected database.
